Execution
Grip the bar with both hands about one and a half shoulder widths apart, and smoothly lower it until it barely touches the bottom of the chest (Starting Position). Smoothly push the bar up until your arms are straight (Finishing Position).

Tips and Safety
Always use a spotter with this exercise.
Do not arch your back or bounce the bar off of your chest.
Avoid excessive abduction of the upper arm.
Inhale while lowering the barbell and exhale while lifting it.
